Hey folks Welcome to Wynd’s Tips Wednesday, where I share a few tips that you can use to ease your creation process. Occasionally I’ll talk about non-Secondlife tips too.
Ya just never know what we’ll be up to at Wyndaveres so check back often and enjoy!
This week I want to talk about color palettes!
Ever just get stumped or frozen when trying to pick the perfect colors? I know I do.Sometimes I just can’t come up with a palette I like.
Should the bow be blue or red?
What color looks best with green?
Do I want a warm romantic feel or something vibrant and bold?
These little burps sure can hold me back in the wee hours of the night when I’m creating.
The solution to this problem is age old; tried & true, look at photos or nature & click save, pin, or fav button.
The photos do not need to be of anything in particular just be filled with colors you like. It’s fun! I mean who doesn’t love browsing beautiful photos?
My favorite places to kick back browse are:
Not only will the pure beauty captured through the lens of photographers dazzle you but the creativeness of others will inspire you. Hopefully, setting you on the path to resolving the bumps in the road of your own creative journey.
After you make a few selections your next stop is “Palette Creator” for Google Chrome.
If you don’t have “Palette Creator” you’ll first need to be using Chrome.
Chrome is the Google internet browser. If you use something else I suggest you give Google Chrome a try, the extensions/apps are more than worth it!
Once you have Chrome and “Palette Creator” extension installed lets make some magic!
Go to any of the images you pinned saved or faved, hover your cursor over the image, and then simply r-click the image.
Next, select how many colors you would like Palette Creator to pull from the image. I’ve chosen to create a 16 color palette.
looks pretty cool don’t ya say? Actually when I created Wyndaveres.com I did use Palette Creator.
I have also used this for dressing myself. It’s great for putting together coordinating colors in outfits. What a time saver!
I even used this to create a full 32 color palette I work from for all my products. It’s saved me a ton of time and then all my creations coordinate with each other to boot!
This tool is one of my most valued, it’s quick and easy and fun to use. I do hope you have enjoyed this week’s Wynd’s Tips!
Now it’s your turn!
Head out! Do something nice for a friend, help an old lady across the street or buy a friend a gift..might a suggest a gift from Wyndaveres? The deed itself is not important, it’s only important that you do something kind for someone, anyone!
If we want to see change in the world we must be willing to be the change!
Thanks again for stopping in, please come back often and pop by to say howdy to me in your Secondlife.
Until next time, Wynd
